GRU Proposes Changes to Gainesville Solar Tariff

Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) is proposing some changes to its groundbreaking solar PV feed-in tariff. Significantly, GRU proposes a new tranche: <10 kW for both rooftop and groundmounted systems.

  • Capacity freed up each year for new participation
  • New tier for small primarily residential systems
  • New application fees to put “skin in the game”
  • New project limits – 300kw for a single rooftop system, 1MW for single groundmount
  • 2011 start charging monthly metering charges
