Pennsylvania Adopt An Anemometer Program 1980July 4, 2009 The document below is a scanned copy of Adopt an Anemometer: A Unique Anemometer Loan Program created circa 1980 by the Center for Alternative Resources for the US Department of Energy. The program was the first of its kind in the United States and was unique to Pennsylvania. In the 1980s update to Battelle PNL's Wind Resource Atlas, the methodology and thoroughness of the Anemometer Loan program was cited as an example of independent data collection in the state.
