German Solar PV Installed Price 2006Revised August 28, 2007 by Paul Gipe Average installed price for solar PV in Germany in 2006 based on a survey by either Photon Magazine or Sonne, Wind, & Wärme magazine (unfortunately, I clipped the source of the data when I tore out the page of the magazine). Price on the left axis. Number of respondents in the survey sorted by project size on the x-axis. Average installed price decreases with increasing project size. No surprise there. Average installed price of about €5,500/kW with a range from €4,000/kW to €7,500/kW for small systems. The average installed price for large, that is MW-scale, systems averaged €4,800/kW with a range from €4,000/kW to €6,000/kW. German installed PV prices are about $2,000 CAD/kW less than the average installed cost in Canada.
