Correction to Table C-2 in Wind Power for Home & BusinessTable C-2. Rayleigh Wind Speed Distribution For Average Annual Wind Speed in mph on pages 366-367 is in error. The error arises from my attempt to shorten the number of wind speed bins so that the table could fit on the printed page. Table C-1. Rayleigh Wind Speed Distribution For Annual Average Wind Speed in m/s is correct. My thanks to Dennis Scanlin at Appalachian State University for calling the error to my attention and to Ken Starcher at West Texas A&M University's Alternative Energy Institute for helping me find the cause. A text version of the table can be found on this web page: raleighdistribution.html (opens in new window). Note that the bins step in increments of one (1). There are no units attached to the table. The table works for either m/s or mph.
