Wind Farm Noise Complaints Downunder Related to Aesthetic Concerns

In an interesting study by an Australian consulting company, the acousticians found that complaints about noise were directly related to the attitude of receptors toward the perceived aesthetic impact of the wind farms.

This is a confirmation of other work on the aesthetic objection to wind farms couched in terms of noise impacts.

If it’s not clear in the chart, there’s hardly any complaints about noise from those who found the wind turbines had no negative impact on the landscape.
